Cinekid Professionals Programma compleet

Cinekid is happy to announce the complete programme of Cinekid for Professionals 2019. Once again this leading media industry event takes place 21–24 October during the Cinekid Festival in Amsterdam. Over 500 youth media professionals will get to immerse themselves in a jam-packed, informative and inspirational 4-day industry programme.

On Monday 21 October the programme kicks off with the bespoke Producers Programme for producers who are nominated by international partner organisations. Throughout that day the selected project representatives in the Junior Co-Production Market (JCM, 22 & 23 October) will get to practise their pitches. Nineteen film and TV projects in development will be presented at JCM, designed to encourage international co-operation with leading professionals from the global children’s media industry. Besides projects in development, CfP has also selected six works-in-progress to attract partners who can plug the last gaps in the finance plans.

During the market, the prestigious Eurimages Co-production Development Award for the co-production, distribution, exhibition and digitisation of European cinematographic works will be handed out. This is a cash prize of €20,000. To be eligible, projects must be designed as a European co-production between at least two member states of the Eurimages Fund (for reasons other than purely financial) and must be aiming for theatrical release.

Best TV Project Award
Besides the Eurimages Co-production Development Award, Cinekid is introducing a new prize in the market from 2019 onwards: the Best TV Project Award, valued at €10,000. This prize goes out to the best episodic project in the market.

Another new addition is the Filmmore Post-Production Award, designed to stimulate collaboration with renowned Dutch visual effects & post-production lab Filmmore. The €5,000 prize award is an invitation to start a long and fruitful collaboration with the company.

The award ceremony will take place on the afternoon of Wednesday 23 October.

ScreeningClub
Cinekid for Professionals has also selected more than 450 completed children’s productions for the ScreeningClub, the digital video library running from 19 October to 8 November online and from 21 to 24 October on site. There is no more efficient a place for buyers and programmers to view new content for kids. Find out more.

Industry Forum
