The NBF is the Dutch Association of Film and TV professionals, founded in 1952. Therefore, it is the oldest professional association in the media field in the Netherlands. The NBF represents all disciplines in the film- and television area, and is a service association for employees as well as employers. The main concern of the NBF is stimulating the social and cultural interests of the Dutch movie- and television production and the professionals concerned. An other important focus of the association is to stimulate the contact between the members, government and the Dutch society in general.
Other important goals of the NBF are the protection of interests of individual professionals and the film and television area in general and providing several services and information about the branch of industry. Because of years of experience, a lot of knowledge and expertise has been generated. NBF members profit from collective discounts on insurances and other advantages. The NBF organizes networking events to provide the opportunity to connect with other professionals in specialized fields, as well as themed events to gain knowledge about new relevant developments.
The NBF member database has a great diversity in the media area. Not only employers/freelancers, but also employees/companies are represented. By this, the NBF provides the opportunity to start a dialogue between various professionals and different areas in the field.
