The programme also includes a discussion with VR co-director Diana Schniedermeier, and several Bauhaus films will be screened as a tribute to the pioneering principles of this revolutionary art school.

Xtended (VR): Das Totale Tanz Theater | 5 till 13 March
Das Totale Tanz Theater was inspired by essays by Bauhaus artist Oskar Schlemmer on costumes and Bauhaus founder Walter Gropius’ notion of the total theatre. The VR artwork transports us to a virtual world where we stand among dancers on top of a colossal steel Bauhaus towerblock.

The first session will conclude with a screening of Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar (2014) in a 70mm print.

Cinedans 2019 | 8 till 10 March
Cinedans – Dance on Screen Festival will be celebrating its 16th edition in Eye Filmmuseum and in Playground at A-Lab. Besides Dutch and international dance films and documentaries, the festival presents a variety of installations, VR-dance projects, presentations, debates and workshops.
