E*Cinema in November: surrealism & the eye and the ear

This month we put our focus on Luis Bunuel and Salvador Dali, an absolute dream team in a special on surrealism. On the 26th of november the screen is curated by Pawel Pokutycki of the Royal Academy of the Arts and presents a selection of experimental cinema dating from the 1930 up until the present.

ECinema Academy pays homage to daring experimental filmmakers Luis Buñuel and Salvador Dalí, who surrendered themselves to ‘l’amour fou’ resulting in surrealist shocking and hilarious classics Un chien Andalou (1928) and L’age d’or (1930), films that surprise every time you see them.

ECinema Academy, Royal Academy of Art, The Hague Presents: The Eye and the Ear

ECinema Academy, programme dedicated to the rich field of experimental cinema, presents a retrospective of experimental film and animation from the 1930s up to the present. ‘The Eye and the Ear’ is curated by Pawel Pokutycki, lecturer of interactive media at the Royal Academy of Art (KABK), The Hague and explores various techniques of augmenting the senses of vision and hearing.
