Story Editing Workshop at Binger Filmlab

In oktober en november vindt bij Binger Filmlab de Story Editing Workshop: Six Days of Practice met Franz Rodenkirchen plaats. De workshop is deel van de jaarlijkse Writers and Creative Producers Lab en is ook toegankelijk voor werkende script professionals: development executives, producers, commissioning editors, script-editors and funders.

Story Editing: Six Days of Practice
October 25, 26 27 & November 8, 9 10, 2013. As part of Binger’s annual Writers and Creative Producers Lab, Franz Rodenkirchen returns with Story Editing Workshop: Six Days of Practice.

In addition to lab participants, other film professionals are invited to apply. The workshop is designed for working script professionals: development executives, producers, commissioning editors, script-editors and funders. Admission is based on selection. Focusing on the complex craft of working with writers- practically, creatively and psychologically – the following skills will be brought into practice under the guidance of Franz:

• script analysis
• script assessment
• film analysis
• creative psychology
• a full array of narrative strategies and approaches
• problem solving
• communication and presentation
• structuring and leading meetings with writers

Franz Rodenkirchen is a Berlin-based script consultant and tutor. He is Head of Selection for TorinoFilmLab. As script advisor he regularly works for the Binger Filmlab, Amsterdam; European workshop Script&Pitch; CineLink, the co-production market of the Sarajevo Film Festival, and the Berlinale Talent Campus. He co-wrote four feature films with director Jörg Buttgereit and helped in bringing them to the screen. Franz has been working on mostly international film projects for more than 10 years, predominantly with writer-directors. He is also a regular at co-production markets all over Europe and besides doing project development has helped writers/directors to prepare public
pitches. Franz has consulted more than 100 projects, mostly for the cinema, amongst others:
